Young Nigerian Lady bags Bachelor’s degree in English with first-class, wins best graduating student award

A brilliant Nigerian Lady named Chisom Okoye has achieved exceptional success after beating her colleagues to emerge as the best graduating student of English Language at the University of Ibadan, South-West, Nigeria.

Chisom Okoye graduated with a first-class in English Language, an achievement she described as extraordinary. She narrated that her success came with many struggles but she kept forging ahead.

“This young lady has many stories to share. In all, she has seen for herself that God delights in making men. With her life, He has made a name for Himself,” she wrote on LinkedIn.

“I did work hard, but God’s grace and mercy made my efforts extraordinary,” she added.

Chisom Okoye thanked her parents, guardians and everyone that contributed to her success. “Can I forget to mention how I was blessed with the gift of men? My parents, Guardians, colleagues, seniors and amazing lecturers. God bless you all,” she said.

In another story, an exceptional Nigerian Mathematician named Oghenetega Ighedo broke a 148-year-old record at the University of South Africa after emerging as the first-ever black woman to earn a Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Pure Mathematics from the institution.

Oghenetega Ighedo, now an Associate Professor of Pure Mathematics, started her higher Academic studies at Delta State University, South-South, Nigeria where she bagged a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Mathematics.
